Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to fill a long-term substitute position in an elementary school setting in Plainville, CT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and assessments.
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders, adapting to the needs of each student.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans, presenting them to parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders involved in student evaluations.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records for all students on the caseload, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular progress reports to parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and goals.
  • Organize and manage student caseloads, developing schedules and resource materials to support speech and language development.
Requirements
  • Current Connecticut SLP license, with a strong understanding of Connecticut Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced school environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practices and assessments in speech-language pathology, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
