Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and creating a supportive environment for our residents. Your core responsibility will be to ensure that all of our customers are treated with dignity and respect, empowering them to make their own choices while guiding them with kindness and understanding through challenging times.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a safe and secure environment, promoting their rights, dignity, and individuality.
  • Develop and maintain individualized care plans, collaborating with the care planning team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining their comfort, privacy, and dignity.
  • Monitor and report any changes in a resident's condition or behavior to the charge nurse or administrative staff.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment, reporting any environmental deficiencies or equipment issues to the charge nurse.
  • Protect the personal belongings of each resident, including eyeglasses, dentures, hearing aids, and other valuables.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff, using tactful and appropriate language in sensitive situations.
  • Assist with orienting residents and their families to the nursing home and unit, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Perform various tasks assigned by the charge nurse, including vital signs, residents' weights, and applying creams/ointments.
  • Assist with transporting residents for appointments, activities, and functions, promoting a supportive network and encouraging communication and interaction.
  • Complete certified nursing assistant records, documenting care provided and other relevant information in accordance with department policies.
  • Practice careful and efficient use of supplies and linen, following established charge procedures for resident charge items.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education meeting state certification requirements.
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certifications in the state of practice or eligibility to obtain.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain composure and interact courteously and professionally.
  • Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to ensure a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all residents.
