Responsibilities
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of South Alabama Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine is seeking faculty members in Emergency Medicine, primarily to serve at USA Health University Hospital, the region's sole Level 1 Trauma Center, and USA Health Children's and Women's Hospital.
There are also opportunities available at our newly established USA Health Freestanding Emergency Department, all situated within the city of Mobile. Qualified candidates should possess certification in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The Emergency Medicine program includes interns/rotators, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant students, and a well-established Residency in Emergency Medicine. Additional qualifications or academic experience in research, emergency ultrasound, EMS, simulation, or operations will be advantageous. The level of appointment is flexible and will be determined based on training, experience, and scholarly contributions.
