About the Role

We are seeking a Chief Systems Automation Engineer who will lead our engineering team in designing and implementing cutting-edge building automation systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising engineers, mentoring and training junior team members, and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Develop a Team of Engineers: Lead a team of engineers specializing in building automation systems, HVAC, plumbing, process piping, industrial controls, refrigeration, or other related fields.
  • Mentor and Train Junior Team Members: Participate in mentoring and training junior engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Review and Quality Control: Review and quality control the work of team members to ensure it meets the highest standards.
  • Project Planning: Complete project planning, including review of code required energy compliance and LEED documentation performed by the team.
  • Field Engineering: Assist with project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and problem-solving as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of design experience, with 1 year in a leadership role demonstrating leadership and mentoring capability.
  • Professional Engineer License: Highly desirable but not required.
  • Strong Understanding of Engineering Fundamentals: Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and constructability.
  • Building Codes and Industry Standards: Familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards.
  • Technical Curiosity: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.


Work Environment

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, beginning between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, and ending between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. Occasional overtime may be necessary due to business needs.
