Job Overview

Mount Indie is in search of a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to enhance and maintain a comprehensive global meter data management system aimed at monitoring and reporting energy usage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and integrate a Department of Defense Information Assurance (IA) architecture for various computing and network environments.
  • Engage in the identification and implementation of Information Assurance (IA) controls, including technical, procedural, and documentation requirements in accordance with DoD and Army standards.
  • Oversee a diverse array of security challenges, encompassing architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis throughout the entire system lifecycle, from concept design to disposal.
  • Implement encryption protocols, conduct penetration testing, and perform vulnerability assessments across various security technologies.
  • Deliver comprehensive evaluations of systems' security posture.
  • Execute security testing to ensure the integrity of cybersecurity measures, and propose effective mitigations.
  • Assess and recommend strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the security program.
  • Integrate security features into existing infrastructures and develop cybersecurity architectural artifacts.
  • Provide architectural analysis and align existing systems with future needs and trends.
  • Formulate security policies and procedures applicable across multiple system architectures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related information technology field.
  • A minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in information assurance and security engineering within the process control sector.
  • Five (5) years of experience in information assurance and security engineering in the IT sector for systems or networks.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in information assurance and security engineering within the Department of Defense, including familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
  • Must hold DoD minimum certification requirements (e.g., CISSP, SEC+CE).
  • Possess an active Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Army metering programs.
