Position: Land Acquisition Specialist
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Contract Duration: 9+ Months
Role Summary:
The main focus of this role is to engage with property owners to secure land rights and assist in the Distribution easement acquisition process within the Western Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- High School diploma is essential; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Exhibit strong negotiation skills for land rights acquisition.
- Ability to compile and accurately complete necessary documentation to support land rights acquisition on behalf of the client.
- Proficient in general computer skills and familiar with business applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Capable of locating and retrieving essential documentation in a county courthouse to ascertain legal property ownership (title research) or utilizing online resources when available.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining organized files.
- Effectively interact with the public and company employees to ensure that acquisition tasks are conducted professionally and promptly throughout the process.
- Willingness to travel extensively (over 50%).
- Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
- A company laptop will be supplied for work purposes.
