As a Neurosurgery Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialized patient care and guidance to neurosurgical patients and their families at the University of California-Davis. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in neurosurgery, critical care, or neurocritical care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Practice (70%): Provide direct patient care to inpatients in the hospital, including obtaining history and physical, pre-and post-operative management, ordering and following up on laboratory and radiology studies, and attending M&M and QA conferences as required.">
  • Coordination and Collaboration (15%): Work closely with medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.">
  • Research and Program Development (5%): Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of new programs and initiatives in neurosurgery and critical care.">
  • Education (5%): Engage in educational activities, such as teaching and training junior staff members and students.">
  • Professional Development (5%): Stay updated on the latest advancements in neurosurgery and critical care by attending conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.">

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $89,500-$117,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
