About the Role:
DSJ Global is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Strategist to join our team in a permanent role. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Create and execute procurement strategies tailored to assigned projects, aligning with overall company goals and project requirements.
- Manage Supplier Relationships and Negotiate Contracts: Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable contract terms, and ensure suppliers meet performance and quality standards.
- Ensure Timely Delivery of Materials and Services: Oversee the supply chain to guarantee that materials and services are delivered as scheduled and meet project specifications, addressing any issues proactively.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with engineering, production, and project management teams to support project objectives, ensuring seamless integration of procurement activities.
- Monitor Project Budgets and Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities: Track and manage project budgets, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement strategies to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
Requirements:
- Proven Track Record as a Project Buyer: Demonstrated success in a senior buyer role, particularly within the automotive industry, with a history of effective procurement and supplier management.
- Knowledge of the Automotive Industry: Strong understanding of automotive sector requirements and challenges, and how they impact procurement and supply chain processes.
- Strong Negotiation and Communication Skills: Excellent ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced setting while maintaining high performance and adaptability.
- Geographic Flexibility: Must be located in or willing to relocate to Greenville, SC, with the ability to work on-site and integrate with the local team.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field: Required.
- Oracle experience: A plus.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in procurement or supply chain management: A plus.
