Job Overview

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team in a Primary Care Office. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth operational workflows.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care setting.
  • Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant is required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Experience in performing sterile procedures and adhering to cleaning protocols for medical equipment.
  • Ability to prepare and administer vaccines.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure and document vital signs accurately.
  • Conduct patient interviews, recording history and chief complaints.
  • Upload external medical records and manage immunization data.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests, including phlebotomy.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and identify common hazards.
  • Perform EKGs and maintain clinical quality assurance.
  • Utilize effective communication skills with appropriate medical terminology.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning in emergency situations.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients and medical staff.
  • Conduct outreach calls to patients and specialty offices as needed.
  • Engage in Pre-Visit Planning for quality measures.
  • Manage electronic communications and address urgent patient care issues.
  • Complete EHR data entry and follow up on patient care as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
