Job Summary:
The Clinician II is a key member of the Christus Health care team, working collaboratively with physicians, staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide a seamless healthcare continuum for all patients within the clinic setting.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient wellness and chronic illness activities for the entire patient population, ensuring high-quality standards of care are maintained across the continuum.
- Act in a clinical leadership role, utilizing critical thinking and creative problem-solving to ensure positive outcomes in the delivery of clinical care.
- Supervise daily activities of medical assistants, ensuring timely orientation and competencies completion for all clinical support staff.
- Provide feedback to manager for annual performance evaluations of clinical staff.
- Collaborate with clinic leadership to ensure uninterrupted clinical care and provision of high-quality patient services.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
- Knowledge of and practical use of good business English, spelling, arithmetic, and practices.
- Demonstrates effective teaching techniques, applying adult learning principles.
- Demonstrates the ability to coordinate and implement appropriate educational materials for patients and their support systems.
Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
