Part Time Nurse Specialist

New Season Treatment Centers is a leading national healthcare service provider of outpatient treatment centers specializing in providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).
We are seeking a Part Time Dosing Nurse to join our team in promoting and restoring patients' health, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing support to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medication pursuant to physician order and record dosage administered in the medical record.
- Conduct daily medication inventory counts and maintain absolute accuracy in daily accounting of medication.
- Safeguard medication inventory and ensure proper disposal of medical waste.
- Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation in the absence of a cashier position.
- Receive and verify incoming medication shipments and advise necessary staff of any discrepancies.
- Observe patients' demeanor prior to dosing and communicate any issues or concerns to the Medical Director or Registered Nurse.
- Administer lab tests as required, including patient vital signs and TB tests, and collect data for review by the Medical Director or RN.
- Schedule and screen patients for medical director appointments and assist in collecting data for the history and physical.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient medical paperwork and comply with federal and state privacy rules.
- Participate in CARF preparation and state audit process, as well as all staff meetings.
Requirements
- Active nursing license in the state where the clinic is located.
- Understanding of opiate addiction, medical terminology, and general nursing knowledge.
- Basic mathematics skills and computer literacy, including Microsoft products.
- Minimum of 1 year of direct patient contact and prior experience in the clinical environment is helpful.
Working Conditions
- Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.
- Ability to perform other duties as required.
Mental Activities
- Ability to resolve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively present information to staff and outside agencies.
