Job DescriptionAs a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting physical therapists in providing specialized rehabilitation services to our patients within their homes. Your responsibilities will include assisting in conducting assessments, implementing treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and mobility.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct patient assessments under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the physical therapist.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and mobility.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to promote independent living.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, reporting any changes to the supervising physical therapist.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive therapeutic environment.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Prior experience in home health is preferred, but not required.
- Strong clinical and observational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
