Component Technician Engineer

At Daimler Truck North America, we're seeking a highly skilled Component Technician Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for running multiple component level testing assets at peak efficiency, ensuring quality of data meets the expectations of the engineering customer.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and root cause determination of component testing issues
• Perform fixture fabrication and setup of powertrain components
• Conduct mechanical assembly and disassembly setups, and necessary fabrication or machinist work
• Operate instrumentation and data collection on various components utilizing industry standard practices and computer/software equipment
• Set up and operate various components for testing in various environmental chambers and electro-dynamic shakers
Requirements:
• Effective organizational and follow-up skills
• Ability to complete tasks autonomously, with little oversight or supervision
• Strong mechanical skills, and ability to work with hand tools
• Strong computer skills (accessing/navigating service literature, work requests, MS365)
• Knowledge in data acquisition systems
• Strong interpersonal team skills and effective oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with alternative powertrain systems (Hybrid, BEV, fuel cell, eMotors, HV systems)
• ASE or State Mechanic Certifications
• Actively pursuing /enrolled in technical bachelors or associates degree program (NATEF or ABET accredited institute )
• Engine and/or Chassis Dynamometer Testing Certificate
• CDL 'A' License Holder
