Speech Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Ambercare, a leading Home Health Care company in New Mexico. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients overcome speech and language disorders.

• Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' speech and language abilities, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
• Development of Care Plans: Create personalized care plans to address patients' specific needs, including the use of communication devices and aids.
• Direct Patient Care: Provide direct speech therapy services to patients, including administering diagnostic evaluations and informal assessments.
• Collaboration and Education: Work closely with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to educate them on effective communication strategies and techniques.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of patient progress and provide regular reports to healthcare providers.

• Certification and Licensure: Possess certification of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensure as a speech therapist in the state of practice.
• Experience: At least one year of experience in an acute care setting or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy, including communication devices and aids.
• CPR Certification: Maintain current CPR certification.
• Transportation and Insurance: Have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance.
