About This Role

We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team at Old Dominion Freight Line. This position involves developing and implementing software applications using Java/J2EE programming language, working closely with middleware technologies and databases, and providing on-call support for production systems.

Responsibilities & Expectations

• Implement software applications, configure, test, and provide post-implementation support
• Work with Business Analysts to design and deploy database schemas and specify all attributes of database tables
• Assist in the development and debugging of software using Java/J2EE
• Coordinate resolution of issues and defects discovered during testing
• Develop database applications using SQL and JDBC
• Provide on-call support for production systems to ensure timely and quality service to customers

Benefits & Compensation

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including a zero-premium medical plan, short-term and long-term disability, flex spending accounts, and more.
