We are looking for a highly skilled Legal Advisor for Federal Markets to join our team at Axon. In this role, you will provide critical guidance and support to our Federal team on all matters related to government contracting.
About the JobAs a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for handling transactional legal matters and projects, advising on regulatory and compliance initiatives, and researching and advising on legal rights and duties as they relate to Axon's Federal business.
Additionally, you will serve as primary Legal support to Axon's Federal team, serving as the company's subject matter expert for federal government contracting matters and related compliance requirements. Your expertise will be essential in improving, developing, and executing Axon's policies, processes, and procedures for compliance with federal contracting requirements.
You will also work closely with our sales, product, supply chain, finance, and people operations teams to support the company's growth in federal markets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and have experience with export control compliance of controlled technology, including experience with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
A JD from an accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials is required, along with a minimum of 7 years of corporate, transactional, and compliance experience in the federal space.
