Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to join our surgical telemetry team at Saint Joseph East. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
  • Perform assessment and analyze patient problems and conditions using critical decision making to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
  • Implement and/or modify plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary partnership in patient care (as appropriate for an LPN).
  • Integrate ethical provisions in nursing practice and deliver care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
  • Evaluate progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
  • Active (LPN) license cleared by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or with eNLC multi-state practice privilege.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Effective 10/1/2024, all LPN hires are required to obtain their RN degree within 4 years of their start date. Individuals must enroll and begin participating in an RN program within 6 months of their start date.
