Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia is seeking a dedicated Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to individuals affected by domestic violence.

Salary:
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as shift manager on weekends and holidays to ensure the safety and security of shelter residents.
- Provide crisis intervention and referrals for clients, including answering crisis calls during shifts.
- Collect and maintain detailed statistical data pertaining to all calls.
- Screen client appropriateness for shelter entrance when admission is needed and contact on-call staff as required.
- Complete intake of incoming clients and children, as well as all resident paperwork.
- Provide verbal support for clients, instruct and supervise housekeeping chores required of residents, and resolve conflicts and misconduct when necessary.
- Maintain confidential client files and agency statistics for program evaluation.
- Serve as an active and supportive team member and participate in work processes as identified.
Requirements:
- Possess a background in victim advocacy or a related field.
- Have an understanding of domestic violence dynamics and be able to work independently.
- Able to utilize resources available both in the community and in-house.
- Obtain CPR/First Aid Training and pass a criminal background check.
