Nursing Station Technician

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Station Technician to join our team at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This is a 60-hour per two-week period, day shift position with every third weekend. The successful candidate will be eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more.
Key Responsibilities- Assist professional caregivers in delivering patient care, transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, reordering, and stocking supplies.
- Perform a wide range of clerical, transcription, and maintenance of patient care unit desk area functions.
- Coordinate the flow of communication on a patient care unit.
- Perform patient care tasks such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding.
- Maintain unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts, and ordering tests.
- Set up and maintain patient rooms.
- Order and stock supplies.
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required.
- One or more of the following: successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program, six months of recent direct care experience in a long-term, home care, or acute care setting, current enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program, or current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
