About the Role:

Cinemark is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our theatre maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our theatres and properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the General Manager to prioritize cleaning tasks and schedules
  • Perform thorough cleaning of theatre and theatre property, including auditoriums, lobby, restrooms, and concession stands
  • Maintain carpets and floors, including vacuuming, shampooing, and removing gum
  • Clean and disinfect all areas, including auditoriums, seats, game rooms, and restrooms
  • Ensure projection booths, office areas, and storerooms are cleaned only at the specific instruction of the General Manager
  • Keep cleaning equipment in good working order and clean the Janitor's closet
  • Inspect theatre and theatre property to ensure all areas are clean and in good working order
  • Report any issues to the General Manager
  • Replenish restroom supplies and mix and apply Cinemark-approved cleaning chemicals as directed
  • Remove trash and dispose of it in commercial trash dumpsters or compactors
  • Guard against unauthorized personnel entering the building during non-operating hours
  • Keep theatre keys on person and outside doors locked during non-operating hours
  • Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment while completing position-specific tasks
  • Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • Monitor safety and security issues and report them to management

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Requires regular and consistent attendance
  • Has an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • Provides excellent Guest service
  • Interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to take and follow direction
  • Responds with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to maneuver in limited-space areas
  • Ability to safely mix chemicals and dispose of used chemicals in compliance with state and local regulations

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre
  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
