Role SummaryAs an RN Charge Nurse in the Medical Surgical department, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care standards. This position is integral to the operational success of our healthcare facility, ensuring that nursing practices are executed in accordance with our organizational values and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough health assessments of patients using clinical judgment and reasoning.
- Oversee nursing procedures, making evidence-based adjustments as needed.
- Provide compassionate care by addressing both the emotional and physical needs of patients.
- Lead the Med Surg team in delivering exceptional patient care aligned with organizational goals.
- Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Engage in problem-solving and critical thinking to navigate challenges in patient care and unit management.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or similar nursing role.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (to be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Strong knowledge of nursing protocols and patient care practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
