We are currently seeking a dynamic and personable Activities Director to oversee our community's activity programs. This role is essential in creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that caters to the diverse interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a variety of events and programs aimed at enriching the assisted living experience and enhancing residents' quality of life.
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of programs to ensure they meet the diverse needs of all residents.
  • Develop a creative and engaging weekly activity schedule that fosters participation and enjoyment for all residents.
  • Facilitate family-centered programming on a regular basis to encourage involvement and simplify scheduling.
  • Lead and manage one-on-one, small group, and large group activities according to the established programming calendar.
  • Encourage and support residents in pursuing independent activities, both individually and in small groups.
  • Recognize that all aspects of care can be viewed as an opportunity for engagement and activity.
  • Create and distribute a high-quality monthly newsletter and calendar, along with a daily activity schedule, through our internal communication platform.
  • Supervise and support programming associates, including transportation and community drivers.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of aging and disability issues.
  • Demonstrated experience and training in developing appropriate programs for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
  • Proven management and leadership skills.
  • Previous experience working with senior populations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is advantageous.
