Coil Winder Specialist

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Power Partners as a Coil Winder, where you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of distribution transformers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for winding coils with precision and attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wind coils to specifications, using detailed written and verbal instructions
• Ensure safe and proper operation of equipment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Lift and move materials weighing 50+ lbs., with or without assistance
• Handle materials and use hand/power tools, ensuring conformity to standards
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, wearing required PPE

Requirements:

• Ability to follow, communicate, and understand written and verbal instructions
• Proficiency in using an iPad or other electronic communication device
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Demonstrated proper lifting techniques and ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to grasp, reach, and handle objects, tools, and materials
• Familiarity with measuring devices, such as tape measures and micrometers
• Experience with hand/power tools, including Allen wrenches, electric shears, soldering torches, and hammers
• Ability to operate overhead hoists and lift assist equipment
• Frequent standing and walking, with occasional sitting, stooping, reaching, or kneeling
• 20/40 vision, with or without corrective glasses and/or contact lens, and normal peripheral vision
