Certified Nursing Assistant - Perioperative Support
Shift Details
12 Hour Shifts
Compensation Package
$2,500 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment, in addition to a comprehensive benefits and compensation package that begins on your first day of employment.
Benefits Overview
Full-time caregivers earning less than $60,000 annually will be offered a medical plan with a $0 premium cost, including dependent coverage. Eligible candidates will see this option in the benefits enrollment system.
Role Responsibilities
This role is essential for the effective and timely transport of patients as directed, along with other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor. The Nursing Assistant aids in delivering patient care and department-related tasks under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Key Duties Include:
- Assisting under the supervision of the RN to provide care and services to patients and their families, following emergency policies and procedures.
- Transporting patients to and from various care areas, ensuring a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Documenting daily activities and care provided to patients accurately and legibly.
- Performing patient care tasks as directed by the RN, including assistance with daily living activities, vital signs, and patient mobility.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting the rights of patients and families.
- Demonstrating flexibility to meet patient care needs and communicating effectively with team members.
- Collaborating with nursing staff to prioritize functions necessary for patient care and discharge.
- Ensuring cleanliness and readiness of transport equipment and patient areas.
- Participating in educational activities and quality improvement programs.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor while performing duties.
Qualifications Required:
- Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing preferred, with alternatives for customer service experience in healthcare.
