Occupational Therapist

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in McLean, VA. As a home care Occupational Therapist, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary health care team providing rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients in their homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits to assess patients' functional status and develop individualized intervention plans.
  • Evaluate home environments for hazards and barriers to independent living.
  • Identify equipment needs and environmental adaptations to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Continually assess and revise the occupational therapy care plan, participating in multidisciplinary care planning as needed.
  • Educate patients, family members, or representatives on rehabilitative care and activities promoting health, safety, and independent living.
  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations using a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.

Qualifications:

  • A current VA Occupational Therapist license.
  • Prior home care experience preferred, but not required.
  • A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid computer skills, with prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
