Civil Technician

Civil Technicians play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of telecommunications infrastructure throughout New England and the Eastern United States.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing tower sites, while adhering to strict risk management guidelines.

We are seeking self-motivated and safety-conscious individuals who can work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Properly follow all safety procedures and policies.
• Complete various job duties safely and efficiently with confidence and little to no supervision.
• Safely and properly use hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Identify and report any safety hazards to the foreman or lead technician.
• Perform general construction of tower sites to include, but not limited to Site layout, erection, installation and maintenance, and repair in accordance with specific job orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly working environment.
• Pick up and deliver supplies, tools, equipment components, etc. To job sites and service center warehouses.
• Follow directions given either by the foreman, lead or management.
• Obtain tools within 90 days of employment
• Communicate and represent East Coast Communications in a respectable manner, whether with the public, with co-workers, vendors, etc.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge and use of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Experience in the tower industry is preferred but General construction and other experience related work is acceptable.
• Ability to recognize safety Hazards.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. *Class A Drivers Needed
• Able to travel out of town on a limited basis as needed.
• Able to meet physical requirements such as standing, bending, and lifting for the duration of shift.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and Physical.
