Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Tax Services team. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and guidance to our clients, as well as leading and managing a team of tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed review and analysis of complex partnership state tax returns
  • Serve as a Performance Advisor, providing mentorship and coaching to team members
  • Train and develop staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional client service
  • Work on multiple complex issues, communicating effectively with clients and team members to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Advise clients on a full spectrum of state tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and mergers and acquisitions
  • Review research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards
  • Assist with new business development and extended service initiatives
  • Manage corporate client needs related to tax services and state tax compliance
  • Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in business taxation, preferably with a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Active CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Licensed JD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with clients and team members to deliver exceptional results
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of state tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, with industry specialization a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions, including education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $137,700 - $276,700
