Job Opportunity

Passaic County Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced faculty member to join our Computer and Information Sciences department.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly qualified individual to teach a variety of courses, including introductory and advanced Information Technology and Computer Science courses. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student success, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned classes in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi.
  • Maintain accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems.
  • Create a student-centered learning environment that promotes learning and engagement.
  • Participate in assessment activities in support of the PCCC institutional effectiveness program.
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Participate in Professional Development opportunities.
  • Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College's student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or closely related field required.
  • Higher education teaching experience required; Community College preferred.
  • Knowledge of Computer Science/Information Technology subjects, such as Cloud Computing, Networking and Security, Web and Mobile Development, Database and Programming.
  • Experience with Data Science and Artificial Intelligence preferred.
  • Ability to teach courses incorporating different modalities, concurrently or remotely via Zoom preferred.
  • Ability to teach a diverse student body.
