About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Stormwater and Utility Engineer III to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of stormwater management and utility projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the design of effective and sustainable stormwater management systems
  • Develop and implement utility projects to enhance the efficiency of utility networks
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers
  • Perform quality control reviews of engineering project elements
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Practical experience with stormwater design standards, including the rational method and TR-55 design manual
  • Practical experience with utility design standards and practice, including water supply and wastewater
  • Permitting experience with local, state, and federal authorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification
