Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Weighmaster to join our team at Hilltop Quarry, a division of the H&K Group, Inc. As a Weighmaster, you will be responsible for tallying quarry products and dispatching materials on a day-to-day basis. This role requires strong business acumen, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Weigh trucks loaded with crushed stone and/or asphalt products and issue weigh slips to drivers
  • Keep track of material totals to different jobs
  • Compute and record totals of tallied figures
  • Examine and sort items tallied
  • Moves tallied items to storage, shipping, or production areas
  • Takes orders from contractors and private customers for crushed stone
  • Dispatches truck to job sites
  • Communicates with material suppliers, laborers, operators, and supervisors with job concerns
  • Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude to both internal and external customers
  • Keeps track of traffic and weather conditions affecting schedules
  • Monitors petty cash
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR a month of related experience and/or training
  • State Weigh Masters license
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Able to travel to regional quarries
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
