Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of production equipment and facilities
  • Use drawings and technical documentation to install new machines and equipment
  • Repair equipment breakdowns, including welding, plumbing, and acetylene cutting
  • Perform mechanical preventive maintenance of all production equipment
  • Conduct major mechanical overhauls of machinery and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds
  • Maintain accurate records of time and material used for all assignments
  • Enter information into the Maintenance system
  • Assume responsibility for housekeeping in the Maintenance area, maintaining a 6S standard
  • Observe and enforce Prysmian's safety rules and regulations
  • Participate in plant initiatives aimed at enhancing safety and plant performance
  • Participate in the Department Safety Committee
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or Electromechanics Maintenance Technology
  • Two years of experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprint reading, and equipment rebuild
  • Good math skills and machine shop experience
  • Solid, stable work history
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and participate in safety, quality, and production improvement activities

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employee must be able to adapt to both hot and cold temperatures within the plant.
