Job Summary

TotalMed seeks a highly skilled Medical-Surgical Transition Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the Step Down Unit. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care.

Responsibilities
  • Providing specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units
  • Monitoring and assessing patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit
  • Administering medications, performing procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A current RN license
  • BLS certification (additional certifications may be required by the facility)
  • At least two years of recent experience in a Step Down Unit environment
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
