WPE Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) educator to join our team as a Workforce and Professional Education Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to adult learners in our ESL program.

• Develop and deliver engaging and effective ESL courses, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and materials.
• Assess student progress and provide individualized support to ensure students meet their learning goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, and participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in the field.
• Provide guidance and support to students in their transition to post-secondary education or the workforce.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records, and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, linguistics, or a related field.
• New Jersey Teacher's Certification or 2-3 years of teaching experience.
• Proven experience in preparing written communications, presentations, and delivering training sessions or teaching classes.
• Experience in advising students in adult education, ESL, and literacy programs.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software programs.

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Knowledge and experience with standardized assessment instruments and effective teaching methods for adult education.
