Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders for our residents. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:


  • Assessment and Evaluation:
    Conduct thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans to address resident needs.
  • Treatment and Intervention:
    Implement and monitor evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions, adapting treatment techniques to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes, and prepare detailed reports to communicate with the interdisciplinary team, residents, and their families.


Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Oklahoma.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care and a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents.
