The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide resident-centered care, including daily living assistance and basic health care needs
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, providing water and supplements as needed
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns to the charge nurse
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a clean and operational living environment
- Participate in departmental committees and task forces as needed
Requirements:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits
