Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality services to students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and Develop IEPs: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' skills and abilities to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create personalized plans that address students' unique needs.
  • Provide Occupational Therapy Services: Deliver evidence-based interventions to help students develop essential skills, including fine motor, gross motor, and sensory integration.
  • Consult and Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
  • Document Progress: Accurately record student progress and maintain detailed records of assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and research in occupational therapy.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy: Possess a valid license to practice occupational therapy in the state of Illinois.
  • Experience Working with Early Childhood Students: Proven ability to work effectively with young children, including those with complex needs.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Show willingness to adjust approaches as needed to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Organizational Skills: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
