Job Title: Prevention Counselor

The Center for Youth is seeking a skilled Prevention Counselor to join our team. As a Prevention Counselor, you will provide individual and family counseling to youth and families seeking our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of youth and families to identify issues related to substance use/abuse, problem gambling, and other risk factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans based on assessments and goals identified by youth and families.
  • Provide short-term counseling and activities to resolve identified problems and improve youth and family risk and protective factors.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and providers to coordinate client services.
  • Participate in community outreach and networking to promote the Center for Youth's services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in counseling or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Advanced training in chemical dependency prevention-related areas.
