About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our Surgical Care Team, you will be responsible for providing advanced patient care and management services in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and manage patient care services to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive patient care and coordinate services.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Serve as a resource and team leader, providing guidance and support to new staff members and physician assistant students.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services, and contribute to the development of specialty practice standards and research.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NP licensure required. ATLS and BCLS certifications preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; and proficiency in computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.
