We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced RN Health Educator to join our team at Augusta Health. As a key member of our community health team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating community health education programs and initiatives for minority, vulnerable, and medically underserved residents of our local area.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Develop and implement community health education programs and initiatives that address the unique needs of our local community.
- Community Outreach: Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote our programs and services.
- Evaluation and Reporting: Evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and services, and provide regular reports to our leadership team.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our healthcare team to ensure seamless integration of our community health programs and services.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in nursing or RN with Bachelor's Degree in Health Promotion, Health Education, or similar area. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of clinical and/or nursing experience preferred. 3-5 years of community and/or public health experience preferred.
- Licensure: Active RN License, Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Competencies: Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating health education initiatives in community-based settings. Demonstrates ability to work on a collegial level with all Augusta Health team members, community organization, patients, volunteers, and community members.
