Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement training programs to educate consumers on how to manage their personal care attendant (PCA) services.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate consumers' ability to manage PCA services and provide personalized training and support.
- Collaborate with consumers, surrogates, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including progress notes, dayforce schedules, and mileage and expense forms.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, counseling, or social work.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and knowledge of PCA programs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office/Outlook and ability to navigate databases.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel within assigned service area.
The Senior Skills Trainer will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will be required to travel within the assigned service area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to the independent living philosophy and a passion for empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently.
