Job Summary:

Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc is seeking a qualified Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilitating group therapy, conducting individual therapy sessions, and providing supervision to staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions without the necessity of a co-leader
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions and serve as primary therapist
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and prepare treatment plans
  • Present cases in case staffing and re-evaluate client progress
  • Provide supervision to staff members and maintain contact with referral sources
  • Seek supervision to assure that all incidents are investigated and corrective action is taken

Requirements:

  • Associates degree and licensed/certified as a Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor
  • 1-3 years paid experience in Chemical Dependency Counseling
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical skills and knowledge of growth and development over the life span

Working Conditions:

This is a per diem position with variable work hours. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team.
