Job Summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Pulmonologist to join our team. As a key member of our Division of Pulmonology Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to children and adolescents in our clinical area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care within the respective clinical area, ensuring compliance with Professional Staff Bylaws, rules, and regulations, as well as Children's policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and incorporate Quality Improvement and research findings into practice.
  • Provide and/or serve as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
  • Educate and assist trainees with medical decision making.
  • Complete necessary documentation and ensure timely communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
  • Actively respond to patient and clinical staff questions and requests.
  • Participate in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area.
  • Participate in activities that enhance professional development, complete, and maintain certification in BLS, PALS, or NALS, and maintain any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited, four-year medical school.
  • Graduate of an accredited, post-graduate residency program in Pediatrics.
  • Graduate of an accredited, post-graduate fellowship program in Pediatric Pulmonology.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology.
  • Licensure in the state of Georgia, current DEA registration, BLS, and PALS certification.
