Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Security Alarm Technician to join our team at Brinks Home. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and inspecting low-voltage systems, working independently and collaboratively with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and service low-voltage systems in accordance with Brinks Home standards, the National Electric Code, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Facilitate effective communication, leadership, and organization to ensure seamless service of common systems in your area.
  • Service and repair common systems, assisting senior personnel with complex systems as needed.
  • Provide training and support to less senior technicians.
  • Responsible for customer on-boarding and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Operate job-related mechanical equipment, such as bucket trucks and scissor lifts.
  • Communicate work progress according to established procedures.
  • Understand and complete all required paperwork, including UL, FM, and Mercantile documentation.
Requirements
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving industry.
  • Basic knowledge of low-voltage electronic systems and their applications.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment, meeting strict deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Access, Fire, Intrusion, and VST systems.
  • Basic understanding of IT and network infrastructure.
  • Experience with hand tools and various power tools.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, plans, and job specifications.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company dress code.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.
  • Pass an extensive background check and drug screening process.
  • Able to obtain NICET I Certification.
