Position Overview

The HVAC Maintenance Specialist is responsible for executing a range of technical tasks associated with the installation, upkeep, and repair of heating, cooling, ventilation, and related systems. This role involves troubleshooting, servicing, and managing the operational status of units within the designated portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance, repair, and replacement tasks for HVAC and evaporative cooler systems as directed.
  • Perform regular inspections of HVAC and evaporative cooler units to identify maintenance requirements.
  • Oversee weekly and monthly inspections of HVAC systems across all properties to ensure optimal performance.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently to adhere to established guidelines and timelines.
  • Travel to various sites to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Engage in additional tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least four years of experience in maintenance, with a strong background in HVAC and basic electrical systems. Familiarity with evaporative coolers, including start-up and shut-down procedures, is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow through on assignments.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Possess a positive demeanor, effective teamwork abilities, and take pride in one’s work.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professionalism in representing the organization.
  • Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 75 lbs.

Educational Background:

A High School Diploma along with HVAC training or equivalent practical experience is required.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License and access to a registered vehicle.
  • HVAC certification is mandatory.

Travel Expectations:

Traveling to various locations within the designated region is required.
