Role and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of a Form Carpenter is to construct various types of concrete forms safely and efficiently. Key duties include:

  • Building forms for concrete structures such as piers, footings, and walls.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams to ascertain dimensions and specifications.
  • Assembling, measuring, marking cutting lines, and cutting materials as required.
  • Utilizing hand tools and power equipment to shape materials to the necessary size.
  • Securing forms in place using braces, tie rods, and anchor bolts.
  • Installing steel reinforcement according to blueprints.
  • Finishing concrete surfaces using various tools and techniques.
  • Participating in job site safety meetings and adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized job site by managing tools and equipment.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Possess a positive attitude and be a team player.
  • Pass pre-employment assessments, including background checks and physical evaluations.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability.

Essential Tools and Requirements:
Candidates must have the following items:

  • Carpenter hand tools (specific list provided during the interview).
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A TWIC card.
  • Steel-toe work boots.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • The ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including bending and lifting.
