Position Overview: The Rio Rancho Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Unit Manager to oversee our nursing operations during weekend shifts. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care while maintaining positive outcomes for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the clinical activities of the nursing units during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Support the Director of Nursing in implementing effective care delivery models and processes, while mentoring nursing staff to enhance their professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained, focusing on minimizing overtime and reliance on agency personnel.
  • Participate in the recruitment process, onboarding of new hires, and provide recommendations for staff promotions, transfers, and terminations.
