  • Prevent cross-contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures
  • Follow all company Sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning equipment and facilities
  • Complete all required sanitation and work order documentation
  • Maintain stock and organization of all sanitation-related equipment, including cleaning carts and tools, automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, foamers, cleaning equipment, and tools
  • Maintain the effectiveness of the quality system and adhere to all company GMPs and Safety policies
  • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory, company, and customer requirements
  • Follow company safety policies and practices, fostering a safe workplace and environment for ourselves and our co-workers
  • Work safely with chemicals used in the cleaning process and ensure all chemicals are used at proper concentrations following chemical handling SOPs
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing cleaning tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the sanitation supervisor
Requirements
  • Requires a high school education or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of sanitation or housekeeping experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend written work order instructions
  • Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment
  • Ability to multitask and deliver consistent results with above-average accuracy
  • Experience in chemical usage and safety
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals
  • Computer skills
  • Forklift certification
