Senior Superintendent - Construction Management
Overview
We are seeking a qualified Senior Superintendent to oversee construction projects effectively. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating the activities of subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely project completion. This position requires a strong focus on quality control and compliance with contract specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the scheduling of subcontractors and vendors to ensure project timelines are met.
- Monitor construction activities and materials to uphold quality control standards.
- Conduct inspections for multi-trade contracts to verify adherence to contract requirements.
- Assist the project manager in coordinating field activities among various trades.
- Support the project manager in managing Field Orders and Change Orders.
- Coordinate Third Party Code Inspection and maintain necessary documentation.
- Facilitate communication among the project team and subcontractors to ensure effective execution of tasks.
- Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations at job sites.
- Maintain a detailed daily log of project activities, including visitors and materials used.
- Identify and resolve project-related issues through collaboration with team members.
- Oversee safety and security measures at construction sites.
- Ensure that all work meets established standards of craftsmanship.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in construction management for large-scale projects.
- A minimum of 4 years in a Superintendent or Inspector role on multi-contract projects.
- Ability to develop and communicate project work plans and monitor performance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Leadership skills with the ability to guide teams effectively.
- Familiarity with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam is preferred.
- Experience in Institutional Construction is a plus.
