Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 based on location and experience.

Job Description:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications that handle 50,000 users per day across various consumer verticals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 5+ years of experience who is passionate about building scalable and robust web solutions.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other software engineers to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the business and independently develop technical requirements
  • Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Design and develop server-side components using technologies like Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java, and integrate them with front-end systems
  • Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and work with both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance application functionality
  • Build unit tests, write automated test cases, and troubleshoot issues across the application stack to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Cultivate a bias toward action while learning to balance a sense of ownership, accountability, and timelines

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Software development experience delivering web services software
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Node JS backend and Vue or React
  • Mild DevOps experience and ability to build new projects from scratch in AWS
  • Austin, Texas based or willing to relocate
