About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our prototype lab team in Latham, NY.

This role involves hands-on work with advanced materials and technologies, contributing to the innovation and improvement of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of cryogenic systems and superconducting magnets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to cryogenic and superconducting systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and implement design solutions.
  • Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of prototypes.
  • Document test results and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a prototype lab environment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and standards in a lab environment.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW, CAD software, and other engineering tools.
